As part of the Interreg project Smart Solution Labs, students from FH Münster, Westfälische Hochschule and Saxion University of Applied Sciences successfully tackled a logistical challenge for Contour Covering Technology BV and even exceeded the company’s expectations. But read for yourself:
Results:
- Development of a Kanban system with a user-friendly UI
- Evaluation of various e-Kanban models and recommendation of the optimal solution
- Combination of software and hardware solutions to increase efficiency
- Creation of a practical implementation plan including RFID perspective
- Calculation of time and cost savings! when implementing the recommendations
The path to the goal:
- International and interdisciplinary collaboration between eight students
- Survey of employees on site in Winterswijk
- Supplementary online surveys and software analysis to ensure practical suitability
