With the launch of a new project in the Smart Solution Lab, students are investigating how Cargo Heat Treatment‘s heat treatment chambers can be positioned more effectively on the market.
The background: For export – to Australia, for example – products shipped between 1 September and 30 April must first be treated to eliminate pests, in particular the brown marmorated stink bug. Currently, this is mainly done by fumigation using toxic gases.
Since Cargo Heat Treatment offers an ecologically sustainable heat treatment, there is a clear market opportunity here.
In order to successfully exploit this opportunity, the students are conducting a market and target group analysis. The direction is clear: investigate, analyse and derive processes from this – let’s heat up the market!
