Acceptance and technology: Students develop roadmap for AI integration for internal experiential knowledge

How can internal experiential knowledge be collected and shared among employees? Team B, consisting of eight students from different degree programs, has been addressing this question over the past eight weeks. At the start of the project, the only thing that was certain was that artificial intelligence would be the solution.

However, this raised a number of questions on the part of Haake Technik GmbH. On the one hand: how can we convince our employees to share their experiential knowledge, communicate the benefits to them, and create acceptance? On the other hand: how can we implement this technically and ensure the security of our data?

To answer these questions, the team split up to develop a comprehensive roadmap for integrating the AI tool into the company. To do this, they first examined the current mood of the employees towards the planned AI. At the same time, they exchanged ideas with companies that have already introduced similar tools. The findings resulted in a six-step plan that gradually introduces employees to the use of the tool and focuses on Cognitive Defusion in order to allay employees’ fears and explain the benefits.

The students also presented a functional demonstrator in the company’s corporate design. The highlight? The technical solution also links to existing knowledge databases within the company!

The team’s solution not only confirmed the company’s existing knowledge of change management, but also provided new and important insights that will support future implementation.
